Our gemstone jewellery brand was founded by Kenyan based jewellery designer, Weni Mashaqa was created after Mashaka saw a need to add value to small, less valuable gemstones. She sought to create a brand that would not only provide high-quality gemstone jewellery pieces but also provide an opportunity for Kenyans and other nationals to own affordable gemstone jewellery.

 

Mashaka blended art and fashion to create beautiful and stunning gemstone jewellery pieces. As part of the proud Taita Taveta mining community, Mashaka grew up in a mining family and got interested in the gemstone industry. Each piece is designed to capture the beauty of gemstones and the elegance of stylish and elegant fine jewellery made of sterling silver and 18k gold.

 

Through this brand and the engagement with the mining and gemstone industry in Kenya, Mashaka is able to empower her community to generate income and add value to the crushed gemstones..
